Mirepoix is the best way to make a rich delicious base for a soup or broth. It is of french origin and we all know how delicious french food is. So here is exactly how to make it.
Dice up carrots, onions and celery and then toss into a frying pan. Add some melted butter (I highly recommend) or oil. Then just let simmer until veggies are soft and onions are see through. It’s that simple! Once done you can add this as a base to your soup or broth.
